Vascular Surgery at a Glance will continue the At a Glance series style and ethos, i.e., bite size topics displayed on a double page spread with plain language explanations of all the common, and not so common, vascular subjects.  As with previous At a Glance books there will be pictures, illustrations and other aide-memoires.  Each chapter will focus on understanding the relevant concepts and basic principles of vascular disease and surgery, with additional factual information once this is achieved. This will not be a cardiovascular book, i.e., it will not concern itself with cardiac disease, which is a whole other subject covered extensively elsewhere.  Furthermore, this book will form a curriculum backbone for any specialist at all levels who has an on-going commitment to vascular disease management and medical education. The book will serve as an excellent source of information and management guidelines for other specialties that see vascular disease often, but are not formally trained in its management including general practitioners, emergency medicine practitioners, physicians, intensive care practitioners, nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians and paramedics.
