This book covers a brief history of electricity, fundamentals of electrostatic and electromagnetic fields, torque generation, magnetic circuits and detailed performance analysis of transformers and rotating machines. It also discusses the concept of generalised machine which can emulate the dynamic and steady state performance of DC and AC machines.
