The interface between biology and chemistry is an exciting and dynamic one, and one that is driving research and leading to the establishment of an increasing number of biological chemistry courses. This new book proposal  has grown out of the authors extensive experience of researching and teaching in these areas, and their feeling that there is a real need for a core textbook in this area. The field of Biological Chemistry is a relatively new discipline and yet one that is growing in popularity and evolving constantly. Consequently there are few core textbooks that accurately reflect courses as they are developing and the authors feel that Essentials of Chemical Biology  will fill this requirement.
